Our Classes
Details are in the handbook!Our Hebrew School begins with the
Mechina program at age five, and continues through
Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
During these years we will journey through a
variety of themes and experiences.
Special Programs

During the year we will share a variety of
Sabbath programs, tailored to our school. Programs include Friday
night dinners/creative services, Saturday family programs and
Havdalah activities for Saturday night.
Sunday B’Yahad-Sundays Together
Our monthly family programs will help
provide families with the tools to celebrate holidays and Jewish
experiences at home. We will also participate in family social
action projects outside of the classroom. November 2010:
Our synagogue is
part of a regional organization which consists of all synagogues in
the New York Metropolitan area (NYC, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester
and Rockland). As part of this huge region, there are awards
bestowed every two years, to synagogues which excel
in various areas of programming. We are proud to announce that
the Lake Success Jewish Center has just received an award for
overall Hebrew School programming and activities.
We are proud of this special achievement and look forward to
continued excellence!
It is our hope that learning at the Lake Success Jewish Center will
truly be a family affair!
Specials during the Year
Specials will include family services during
High Holidays; unique Sukkot and Simhat Torah celebrations; a
student-led community Hanukkah lighting; our annual Tu B'Shvat
Seder; family dinners and activities for Purim, Israel Independence
Day, Lag B'Omer and Shavuot. Our students will also
participate in the community Yom Hashoah program. From Sept. to
June, we promise Jewish experiences you will never forget!
