Coming Up

March 5  6:15 pm Shabbat Across America And New Members Shabbat with guest speaker from the Jewish Theological Seminary Friday night, March 5, marks our synagogue’s annual participation in Shabbat Across America.  This year, our festivities will include a dinner at 6:15 followed by a spirited service at 7:30pm.  We will honor all new LSJC members who have joined our congregation during the past two years. Please call to reserve.

March 11 6-8 pm Jewish Novel Dinner and Discussion by Prof. Susan Jacobowitz   Persepolis:  The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi An autobiographical and  timeless story of a young girl's life under the Islamic revolution in Iran.$10 RSVP required

General Synagogue - On Going

Adult Bat Mitzvah Class for adults who have never participated in a Bat Mitzvah ceremony. Study and, for those who wish, participate in a collective Bat Mitzvah ceremony. Examine Jewish historical experiences, holiday traditions, life cycle events, philosophy and traditional Jewish texts. Dates and times to be decided. Please call the office to express interest or ask questions.

Jews in the News"  a monthly breakfast discussion lead by the Rabbi over breakfast at the North Shore Towers Restaurant, Building #2. All sessions begin at 9:30 am and there's a minimal charge of $7.00 to cover the expenses.

The Jewish Graphic Novel  The Jewish graphic novel is a popular genre of literature. We will look at a variety of backgrounds as well as American Jewish literature. Led by Prof. Susan Jacovowitz. $10.00 RSVP Office

Sunday, April 25th  10am  Breakfast and an Interior Decorator will  give us advice on sprucing up our homes.  $8.00 for members and $15.00 for temple non-members. Hope to see you there!

Most Wed. 7:30pm Knit Together at the temple. We are working on our preemie and children's hat collection for donation to the hospital. Call the office to check dates.
